Build the data foundation behind music rights. You'll design the verified rights registry that turns contract data into trusted, queryable ownership records for royalty compliance and settlement.
What you'll own
- Core PostgreSQL data model for the rights registry
- Confirmation, audit trail, and conflict-detection workflows
- Integrations with ASCAP, BMI, SESAC, MLC, and ISRC/IFPI
- Backend pipeline foundations: APIs, async jobs, and versioned document storage
What we're looking for
- 5+ years in backend engineering
- Deep PostgreSQL expertise: schema design, migrations, query optimization, row-level security
- Strong Python and API development experience
- Experience in high-stakes or regulated data environments
- Audit trails, data lineage, and third-party integration experience
- Founding engineer mindset: judgment, ownership, and clear communication
Music industry experience is a plus — curiosity, rigor, and strong schema instincts matter most.
